East Lyme -- Flanders Fish Market is hosting a "dine and donate" event from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday to benefit the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center.

The restaurant will donate 10% of all proceeds to the food center. Every dollar donated is the equivalent of three meals for local families struggling with hunger and food insecurity.

Both dine-in and take-out orders apply. Flanders Fish Market is at 22 Chesterfield Road in East Lyme. For reservations, call (860) 739-8866 and to place take-out orders, go to flandersfish.com/food.

The Food Center provided the equivalent of 3.1 million meals last year through the emergency food network of programs in New London County and its mobile pantry. The program is operated by United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.
